About

Capturing me…

I was once asked to describe what it is that I think makes me a photographer. To be honest, I don’t know. What I do know is that I have no other option. My mind thinks in snapshots. It’s almost as if my eyes are a camera, constantly shooting pictures. I realize that I look at things differently. When I see the big picture, I also see little pictures within. I am an observer, and in a social setting, it’s not hard to find me hiding behind the lens of my camera. But this is the way I have been since I can remember.

I like to say that my talent lies in capturing people being people, things being things, basically I just like to capture. I am not a studio photographer; I am not a digital artist. I see things I like and I try to capture that moment.

In the last year or so, I have decided to delve into this world with both feet. I entered my first competition by submitting photos into the San Diego County Del Mar Fair. Two of my photos were accepted, one winning 3rd place in the “family moments” category. I have a few photos published through www.picture.com. I also have had my photos published on musician’s websites. The fantastic Dominic Castillo and the Rock Savants have done me the honor here. You can also find my extensive work following Diablo Dimes here on this site.

And my newest and most exciting endeavor yet is I am flying off to Japan to chase and capture the beauty that is the Japanese cherry blossoms. As my career and life progress, I will be sure to continue to update you on the process and hopefully in the meantime, capture your eye.

And that in an essence, is a snap shot of me.
